Formerly known as the Distinguished Service Award (DSA) and per its bylaws, the Ad Club’s 2007 Outstanding Achievement Award will “recognize outstanding achievement by an individual involved in advertising, public relations, media, sales promotion or other marketing-related fields. “
To qualify for this award, 2007 OAA nominees:
- Must be a current or past Ad Club member in good standing
- Must have made notable contributions to a company’s advertising, public relations, media, sales promotion or other marketing-related activity; and/or
- Must have made notable contributions to the general advancement of advertising public relations, media, sales promotion or other marketing-related fields; and/or
- Must have made notable contributions to the community; and/or
- Must have made notable contributions to the Ad Club
Only current Ad Club members in good standing can submit nominations for the Ad Club’s 2007 Outstanding Achievement Award. Each nomination is limited to no more than two typed pages describing the nominee’s fulfillment of each of the above criteria.
The deadline for submission of nominations is April 1, 2008. After that date, an Awards Selection Committee will be appointed by Ad Club President Kristen Delaney of Clear Channel Communications, consisting of all five members of the Ad Club Executive Board, plus four members selected from the Ad Club’s general membership. Nominees, nominator or anyone who works for or with a nominee is ineligible to serve on the Committee. The Awards Selection Committee privately reviews all properly prepared nominations then selects the nominee who, in their collective judgment, meets the highest standards of the criteria. The OAA winner will be notified in advance and publicly honored during the NORI Awards to be held on Friday, June 6th, 2008.
Nominations for the Outstanding Achievement Award will be accepted beginning March 1, 2008-April 1st, 2008. Submissions can be emailed to info@albanyadclub.com.
